Residential Support Worker

Looking for a new role in North Yorkshire? Do you want to work with children and Young people?

Service Care Solutions are looking for Residential Support workers for a Children and Young People's residential home in Ingleton, North Yorkshire.

The service is brand new, providing care and support to children and young people with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties as well as Learning Difficulties The role would be full time, working 42 hours per week on a rolling two week pattern.

The shifts lengths can vary from 3-14 hours, Covering hours generally between 08:00am -10:00pm with Mornings, long days, evenings and weekends included in the rota and the potential for extra sleep in shifts.

We are looking to book prospective candidates for interviews asap, with a view to start in June.

Annual Salary
Residential Support worker
£17,100 (plus £75.00 per sleep in)
Residential support worker with Level 3 NVQ
£17,473 (plus £75.00 per sleep in)
Senior Residential Support Worker
£17,908 - £19,000 (plus £75.00 Per sleep in

Job role:
Assist the Shift Leaders, Deputy Manager and Registered Manager in providing an emotionally secure, consistent, warm, supportive and caring environment for the young people and to encourage their social, physical, emotional, intellectual and moral development so that they may realise their own potential.

Furthermore, to work to high professional standards of care, control and supervision.

, Assisting or leading the identification of young people's needs
, Assisting or leading the writing and implementation of learning, care and health placement plans
, Ensuring young people are aware of and guided through the services they can expect from the home
, Developing and sustaining professional, positive and constructive relationships with each young person
, Ensuring each young person received a high level and quality of individual support
, Monitoring and reviewing each young persons needs and development
, Ensuring high standards and quality of care are achieved an maintained for each young person
, Ensuring that each young person's privacy is respected and that information personal to him/her is confidentially handled.
, Ensuring that each young person has the opportunity to make decisions about his/her life and to have a voice and to be heard in matters affecting the way the home is run.


, Keeping accurate, legible and up to date professional records.
, Sleep-in duties as part of the scheduled rota, and to cover on occasions for other sleep-ins as and when the need arises.
, Assisting in the planning, organisation, supervision and participation of social and recreational activities.

Essential:
, Previous experience in Health and Social care
, Good communications skills
, Able to work 42 hours per week on a flexible rota
, Must be prepared to have DBS criminal records check
Desirable
, (Senior) Level 3 Diploma for Children and Young People's workforce or equivalent
, (Senior) previous experience in a child care setting
, Formal qualification with regards to children and young people
, Commitment to professional development
, Driving Licence
