YOS Team Manager

The Role:

This is an exciting and rewarding position, suitable for anyone with a Social Work Degree or a recognised professional qualification relating to Criminal Justice and at least 1 years' post qualifying experience in a YOS management position.

The role is on a 3 month, full time basis with the possibility of extension and is looking to take on ASAP.

You will be responsible for management, training and continual development of up to 8 staff members including YOS Case Officers.

In addition to this you will be assisting in the development and implementation of performance management and quality assurance systems to ensure local and national performance targets and the objectives of the YOS are met.You will also be responsible for case allocation and positively representing the YOS, participating in presentations and open days as required.

Requirements:

In order to be suitable for this role, you must have a Social Work qualification or a recognised professional qualification relating to Criminal Justice, along with at least 1 years' post qualifying experience in a YOS management position.

A thorough working knowledge of legislation and current practice as it impacts the Youth Offending Service is essential.
