Occupational Therapist for Rehab Service

One of the leading Healthcare Providers is currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to join a Rehabilitation Service located in Newark.

The service is an independent healthcare company who provide care for women who require rehabilitation and care within the safety and security of a holistic environment where their physical, social psychological, spiritual, cultural and educational needs are met.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be a member of the clinical team where your role will involve:

·         Responsibility for the assessment of patients occupational functioning and the development, implementation and evaluation of occupational therapy treatment and care for women within a low secure setting

·         Contributing to the overall assessment, treatment and care for women within a low secure setting

·         Undertaking delegated professional duties to ensure the efficient running of the service

·         Acting as a visible, accessible and authoritative presence to whom service users, carers and family members can approach for assistance, support , advice and guidance

·         Contribute to the development and delivery of appropriate training of the Occupational Therapy Staff and the wider MDT


It is essential for you to need:

·         State Registered OT with a Dip COT qualification or degree

·         Experience as a Occupational Therapist with people with mental health needs

·         Previous experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team

·         Experience in supervising OT staff and students

·         The ability to initiate and implement service development to improve the effectiveness of occupational therapy services

·         The ability to demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of treatment strategies for women with mental health problems


To be considered for this role you must be a qualified Occupational Therapist with experience within a mental health setting.
