Psychologist to join Hospital – PT

Our client is one of the leading Healthcare Providers that is currently seeking Psychologist to join a pristine Hospital located in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.

The Rehabilitation service provides assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for men and female patients that are suffering with a various range of neuropsychiatric conditions or functional disorders.

Day to day medical care is provided for the service users, as well as on-site therapy services.

 

Salary: £29,991 pro rata

Hours per week: 20

Your main duty will be to identify and deliver appropriate and relevant treatments and interventions within the given field of therapy.

You will promote and develop the mental, emotional, physical and social well-being of the patients and liaise with their family and carers.

 

As a Psychologist your responsibilities will be to:

·         Support and assist qualified staff in the assessment, planning and implementation of patient care

·         Provide a specialist psychology service within neuro development services

·         Formulate and implement plans for the formal psychological treatment and management of a patients’ needs

·         Evaluate and make decisions about treatment options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the individual, family or group

·         Provide specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professional contributing directly to patients’ formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan

·         Undertake risk assessments and management for individual patients and provide advice to other professionals on psychological aspects of risk assessment and risk management

·         Ensure all reports and correspondence are entered into the relevant notes and communicated to other professionals and families where appropriate

You will need:

·         Accredited post-graduate qualification in Clinical or Forensic Psychology

·         HCPC registration (or qualification pending)

·         A commitment to patient-centred acre and to values-based and evidence-based practice

 

To be considered for this role you must be a qualified Psychologist with a current HCPC registration and previous experience within a healthcare setting.
