Ward Manager for Hospital Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Ward Manager for the Low Secure Service, at   hospital.

The ward is an award winning 15 bedded female low secure units which provide care and treatment for women with mental health, complex and challenging behaviour who may have come in contact with the Ministry of Justice due to offending behaviour.

This post focuses on clinical management and leadership to develop, deliver and drive a well-established therapeutic and recovery care programme capable of maintaining safety, security and recovery.

The post holder will also work with other service managers across the hospital as required to provide advice and support in relation to the care needs of service users on other wards and support the service users’ journey through a clear outcome focused care pathway.


The successful candidate will be offered an excellent salary of £46,000 - £48,000 per annum plus other great benefits.

 The successful candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in leading teams, managing change and sustaining high quality services at Agenda for change band 6 nurse equivalent or above.

You will be a highly self-driven and motivated clinical leader who is able to lead and manage the challenges, potentials and prospects of a modern low secure rehabilitation service.


The post holder will ensure appropriate, pragmatic, evidenced based risk management support procedures are developed and routinely applied in the low secure service without losing the fundamentals and ethos of recovery and rehabilitation.

You will be responsible for managing clinical performance, and manage operations within the service, in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
