YOT Diversion Worker

Our client is looking for an Intervention Officer with experience of youths in the criminal justice system to join their Youth Offending Team in South London.

The ideal candidate will have experience of case management of young people at risk or involved in offending or anti-social behavior, an understanding of effective practice research on early intervention theory and programmes as well as a thorough knowledge of childcare and child protection legislation.

Previous experience within a YOT is essential.
The successful applicant will provide support to the Referral Order Co-ordinator, undertake assessments on young people made subject to Referral Orders, attend Referral Order Panel Meetings/review meetings and represent the YOT at these meetings.

You will also hold a caseload and ensure that young people subject to referral orders receive the services as outlined in their contracts.
