Tech Pre-Sales/Systems Engineer (Juniper exp essential)
The role demands someone with detailed technical skills in IP core networking technologies, including 3-5 years experience on Juniper's JUNOS and associated security, routing and switching products, but who also has the interpersonal and client-facing skills to engage effectively with both sales and senior technical professionals within a major global carrier.
This global telco, with dynamic growth plans for 2012, are looking for a Technical Pre-Sales / Systems Engineer to work with one of their key clients on a jointly funded technology project.
The role demands someone with detailed technical skills in IP core networking technologies, including 3-5 years experience on Juniper’s JUNOS and associated security, routing and switching products, but who also has the interpersonal and client-facing skills to engage effectively with both sales and senior technical professionals within a major global carrier.
The role is based in London and is for an initial 3 month contract, but with extension expected beyond this.
Mandatory skills:
- Detailed knowledge of routing protocols, switching, firewalls, IPSec and SSL VPNs, and intrusion detection and prevention systems
- Expertise in Layer 2/3 switching and security
- Relevant industry experience with BGP, ISIS, OSPF, MPLS (including Traffic Engineering), CoS (including DiffServ) and Juniper Router PE features
- A thorough understanding of the pre-sales engineering process
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills able to articulate highly technical concepts to a range of audiences, including CXO level technical decision-makers.
Desirable Skills:
- JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE, CISSP or CCIE certification
- Degree qualified
